Flecktarn Predator Ghillie™ Helmet Cover

The German Army began experimenting with various different camouflage patterns prior to the second world war with some of the earliest camouflage patterned uniforms being issued in 1931. However, it wasn’t until the mid 1970’s that a variety of camouflage patterns were developed that would undergo continuous trial. Eventually, in early 1990 Flecktarn became widely introduced in a recently unified and united Germany.

The word “Flecktarn” makes up a specific definition in the German language. The word “fleck” meaning ‘spot, patch, pattern or blot’ and the word “Tarnung” meaning ‘camouflage’. Throughout Germany the camouflage pattern Flecktarn is used by all branches of the German military. This includes the Heer (army), the Luftwaffe (air force), various Marine (navy) units and even medical units. The Flecktarn camouflage pattern has become so widely recognized that countries such as Japan, Russia, Poland, India, China and even France have designed their own versions of the Flecktarn camouflage pattern.

The Beez Combat Systems Predator Ghillie™ Helmet Cover is also available in the camouflage pattern Flecktarn and makes for a popular camouflage pattern amongst seasoned shooters.
